Ian Bergström, Esq. is an active member of the local Knights of Columbus and Chamber of Commerce. 

As a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Ian Bergström, Esq. volunteers as a pro bono attorney explaining the judicial process and legal doctrines with the public. 

In March 2024, the Nassau County Bar Association recognized Ian Bergström, Esq. as a “2023 Pro Bono Provider.”

Ian Bergström, Esq. taught high school students trial practice and advocacy as a fictitious judge presiding over mock trial competitions for the New York State Bar Association ("NYSBA") and Nassau County Bar Association. 

Ian Bergström, Esq. volunteers as an an usher collecting monetary offerings for the local Roman Catholic church. 

Ian Bergström, Esq. volunteered as the head coach for competitive boys basketball teams. 

Catholic Youth Organization of Long Island ("CYO") awarded Ian Bergström, Esq. the "CYO Long Island Sportsmanship Award," whereby opposing basketball coaches voted for the coach demonstrating the best sportsmanship throughout the basketball season. 

New York Yankee legend, Aaron Judge, and his "Aaron Judge ALLRISE Foundation" recognized Ian Bergström, Esq. as an "ALLRISE Allstar" because of his efforts coaching youth basketball. 

Ian Bergström, Esq. volunteered as a "Career Day" panelist for Holy Cross High School discussing his educational background and career as a legal professional. 

Ian Bergström, Esq. volunteered as a "Student Mentor" for middle school students in Uniondale, New York, regarding his involvement with the Nassau County Bar Association. 

In September 2016, Ian Bergström, Esq. provided security services at the 2016 Presidential Debate between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. Ian Bergström, Esq. acted as a liaison between Presidential Debate attendees, law enforcement, and the United States Secret Service regarding security concerns.
